Team Meeting

All of the models on set gathered for a meeting about the upcoming SexyMandarin shoots.

Looks like we will be trying some very different scripts….

Top secret for now, I am sure some of you will be very happy.

Fire In The Skys

When I first saw this photo I thought there was a huge fire and smoke was pouring out in between the buildings.

Then I saw the second photo.

Fire In Our Eyes

I got a clearer picture and then read what was happening.

It was actually a sunset.

It just goes to show you.  What you see is not always what is actually happening.

Our senses sometimes are limited to what they can take in.

If I was there I would have know the time of day and not smelled smoke.

But since it was a photo I lacked context.

Just remember this next time you run into someone and perceive them a certain way.

Maybe it’s just the sun coming up and not the fire you thought it was.

So I have to admit something. I have been holding out for a long time and I tried not to do it, but I caved in the end.

I now play Candy Crush.  Ahh but it is so fun!

It it is a great way to kill time while I am waiting for a photo shoot to start.

Also I love seeing how my family is doing and trying to get further then them.

Especially my sister because she is the one who finally convinced me to cave and start playing.

Silk Style

I get a lot of compliments when I wear my silk outfit.

It was a gift from my mother and and I wear it when I am away from home.

I feel like it protects me from feeling homesick.

Anytime I am missing people I love, I wear it.

It doesn’t always work, but the love I feel when I wear it really helps.

Touch The Sky

This is how I feel everyday.

I want to be a better model.

A better singer.

A better dancer.

A better person.

I want to one day touch the sky.

For now trying is okay.

I know that with practice anything is possible.

Poker Face

I did a photo shoot with Hailan showing off SexyMandarin’s poker cards.

I told them I would do it, but I needed one thing…

I want to be in the next poker card set.

This is me with no make up.

Being a model is most importantly to me about being a role model.

You don’t always have the gloss of a photo shoot in front of you.

Sometimes you are just yourself and that is okay.

This was taken of me and I didn’t have time to think very much.

It’s just me and that’s ok.

Gulp

I am usually a huge team player.

However I had to walk out of a shoot the other day.

The themes were just too sexual for me.  It was an S&M shoot and I didn’t feel ok with it.

It wasn’t an issue and another model who was pretty excited at the chance to be a part of it filled in for me.

Just remember, always stay true to your self. Let people know when you need to help or don’t want to do something.

White on White

Today’s shoot was interesting.  I held a plain card stock with the purpose of text being photoshopped in later.

It was my ideal shoot.

Plain and simple.  I like shooting in front of a white background and feel it is simple and pure.

Can’t wait to see what they photoshop in over the card.

Party Rock

The Tiki Bar is right behind Bigfoot, the studio we are filming at.  One of my friends took this picture of Clare & I there.  It sums up how time passes here at the studio.

Very quickly.

It’s already Saturday.  Working all the time makes it pass very quickly.  The way the light hit this picture shows the time warping around us.  Next thing I know it will be time to go on to the next chapter.

For now though I am enjoying every minute no matter how quickly it goes.
